As a new student, having that one-on-one time with the instructor is a great way to be introduced to Yoga. It can be intimidating to walk into a Yoga class for the first time. With a private class, you'll get the attention you need to learn the basic movement with proper alignment so you can really learn the practice at your own pace.
For students who have been practicing longer, private classes are also very beneficial. You can deepen your overall practice, or work on something specific that interests you. Private sessions also allow the instructor to customize the class to your liking, work with you on more intricate alignment, make modifications specific to you, etc.
All Yoga, by nature, is Yoga Therapy, as it is a practice of healing. However, this offering is specific for those who may be suffering from a chronic condition or recovering after the acute phase of an injury. Yoga Therapy can help manage and eliminate conditions ranging from chronic pain to heart disease, arthritis to PTSD, diabetes to MS, and more. Depending on the condition, the goal is not to always cure, but to help ease pain and reduce suffering. Yoga Therapy complements and improves the efficacy of your current treatment plan.
Small group classes with one or two friends with similar goals and interests will allow you to experience the personalization and intimacy of a private session for a lesser cost.
All small group sessions are 1 hour.
Yoga is an excellent and effective way to reduce stress, increase energy and productivity, cultivate mindfulness in the workplace, and improve overall health and well-being.
Youth Yoga is for kids ages 5 and up. This is a great way for kids to learn and play at the same time. I use Yoga as a tool to teach kids important life lessons with songs, games, and Yoga postures. A little bit of breath work and meditation included as well.
